1.Born Olivia Jane Cockburn on March 10, 1984 -- she adopted her professional name Wilde after developing profound respect for Irish poet and writer Oscar Wilde.
2.Her father is Irish, allowing Olivia dual citizenship in Ireland as well as the United States. Wilde's ancestry includes English, Irish, Scottish, Manx, and German; she is also of more distant Sephardi Jewish descent from a paternal ancestor, Ralph Bernal (1783–1854), a British Whig politician and actor.
3.Loves cooking and going out to dinner and once said she'd rather take ten people out to dinner than buy an expensive outfit.
4.Was just five years old when her parents had Mick Jagger over for dinner and because the rock star was sitting in her position at the table she demanded that he vacate the seat.

7.Wilde married Tao Ruspoli, an Italian prince, whose family owns a famed palazzo in Italy on June 7, 2003, in Washington, Virginia, on a school bus with only a pair of witnesses, when she was nineteen years old.
She later said the marriage occurred in an abandoned school bus because it was the only place where they could be completely alone, as the marriage was a secret at the time. Wilde is currently engaged to actor and comedian Jason Sudeikis
8.Wilde is a board member of Artists for Peace and Justice, which provides education and health services in Haiti, and the ACLU of Southern California. Previously, Wilde was a supporter of the youth voter organization, 18 in '08.
9.Olivia Wilde entered an eating competition in Australia when she was younger and proudly admits to having eaten 33 pancakes in 20 minutes, beating out what she called 'giant men,' according to Women's Health magazine. Wilde says she did it because they said a girl could never enter the competition.
10. Olivia Wilde told Women's Health magazine that her celebrity crush is Angelina Jolie.
'Just seeing an actress who has been through it all and who doesn't care what other people say about her - someone who has forged her own path,' Wilde said.
