Arrow And The Flash Spin-off Series In The Works On The CW
On 27 February 2015
The CW has teamed up with the creators of Arrow and The Flash for a superhero spinoff featuring characters and actors from both hit TV series, Deadline reports.
The untitled project, now in development, is described as a superhero team-up show. Routh, Miller and Garber will reprise their popular DC Comics characters – Arrow‘s Ray Palmer/The Atom (Routh),Flash villain Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Miller), and Flash‘s Dr. Martin Stein (Garber). Because her Arrowcharacter Sara Lance was killed off, with her sister Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) taking over as the Black Canary, it is unclear whether Lotz will play the same or new superhero. The show will also feature three major DC Comics characters who have never been in a TV series before.
This is the project CW president Mark Pedowitz vaguely referenced at TCA in January and it will not be part of the current pilot cycle.
Berlanti, Kreisberg and Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter, the team also behind CBS’s upcoming “Supergirl” drama, would executive produce the spinoff.
What do you think? Another Arrow/The Flash spinoff is cool or three shows is too many?
