Daniel Craig exits

As we talked the other day about Clooney’s new alliance with Daniel Craig in “Monuments Men”, today we will rectify the information since Daniel Craig refused the role.

He isn't co-starring is Clooney’s star-studded new film and he was replaced with Matt Damon. Whether Damon is playing the role initially earmarked for Craig is unclear.

Damon was already in the cast but for a different role. Now he will be the star and he has to thank Craig for that. Not that Damon is less impressive than the former 007 agent but, let’s face it. You wanted to see Craig again with George Clooney.

The star director said: "It's a fun move because it could be big entertainment. It’s a big budget, you can’t do it small -- it’s landing in Normandy.” Is it possible that he refused the role for “Tomb Raider”?

We know he was on the first Lara Croft movie so, why not in the next one? It’s not clear if he’s having any projects this year but it’s a bummer that we won’t see him in Clooney’s movie with Bill Murray, Jean Dujardin, John Goodman and Cate Blanchett.

A period piece, war, mystery/thriller brought to you by the same producers as Argo must be awesome but 10-month early speculation won’t get you to top of the box-office.
