Univeral’s New Animated Film Starring Matthew McConaughey Reveals Title And Premise.
On 11 November 2015
Universal and Illumination Entertainment are working hard to bring us their new animated film by the end of 2016. The new anthropomorphic will be called “Sing” and features a song contest that brings together the voices of many great actors.
Universal leaves nothing at chance when it comes to their new movie, and have already signed some of Hollywood’s top voice actors: Reese Witherspoon, Seth McFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton and Tori Kelly are going to delight us during the Winter Holidays Season next year.
“Sing” tells the story of Buster Moon (played by Matthew McConaughey), a hard-working koala, owner of a theater. Because of everyday problems and business going bad, Buster tries to change his luck by throwing the world’s greatest singing competition, featuring five talented contestants competing for the supreme crown.
So get ready for some Holiday sweetness when you’ll see McFarlane voicing a crooning moose, Tori Kelly playing a teen elephant with some serious stage fright, Reese Witherspoon as a cute pig with a huge brood, Egerton as a gangster gorilla (now that’s something I can’t wait to see!) and Scarlett Johansson playing a punk rock porcupine.
“Sing” is set to hit theaters on December 21 2016, following the summer 2016 release of “The Secret Life of Pets” and will feature 85 hit songs, according to Universal.
